Wife Asks Reddit Users If She Is TA For Drinking Wine With Her BIL On Christmas
A wife jumps to Reddit to vent a little and ask the users if she went wrong in her married life.

Nobody is perfect, and every couple faces some problem, be it small or prominent in their relationship. What matters the most is how well you handle your relation once the fight is over.
It is pretty normal to have insecurities towards your better half and be a little possessive about them. But being too possessive and throwing tantrums that can possibly ruin the relationship is not correct.
Two people decide to get married once they reach a certain maturity level and are old enough to understand one another. But getting upset with your partner for socializing with other family members is who is of another gender is wholly messed up.
This story tells us about a wife who has self-doubt about interacting with her BIL at a Christmas dinner while other family members are sitting in the hall. She thinks she is the one at fault because her husband is mad at her for doing so.
Hence she runs over to Reddit to get some opinion to probably change her mind and also to vent a bit and feel a little light. For obvious reasons because her husband wouldn't talk straight to her face.
While Reddit users showed her their full support, some also criticized her husband. Few taunted her for marrying a child, which is apt in this case because her husband behaved like one.
No woman, that doesn't make you TA but a respectable member of the family.

The husband seems to be jealous of the BIL because he is more modern than all the men in the family.

The husband seems to get quite insecure about the modern outgoing BIL.

Interacting and talking about something both people are passionate about is so not called flirting.

The husband is behaving in the most childish manner ever. Ask him to act his age!

Well, there is no explanation needed after listening to the story, NTA Period!

It is like he is spoiling his own celebrations and trying to spoil yours as well.

Exactly, who even gets insecure about their own family members, that's sick!

Well the husband doesn't help with the food and expects others also not to help the wife.

There couldn't be a more appropriate word to describe the husband's behavior but "Jealousy".

It is the feeling of comparison that is making the husband jealous

It’s all about the insecurities that are filled within the husband, he needs to get rid of them real soon.

Masculinity is not watching sports with some beer but it is when you can share your partner's work.

Now the husband's level of jealousy has risen so much that makes everything about his BIL

It would have been wrong if the wife did something wrong with her BIL after getting drunk.

BIL helps with the food because he loves cooking and not because the wife's in the kitchen.

When the prego sister isn't offended, why is the husband overreacting for literally no reason?

This is the funniest comment, but makes the most sense out of all.

If helping while cooking is called flirting, then I have been flirting with my brother all this while.

This whole situation gives the wife a chance to pull the husband for cooking with her.

The one who should be getting mad is chilling and the one who should be chilling is getting mad. The irony!

The whole point of getting angry was not because they were talking but because the BIL chose cooking over watching sports.

This story makes us all wonder how easily some men take things on their egos and spoil their relationships. It is okay to be a little insecure but being too possessive is never okay in a healthy relationship.
Share this story with all your friends and family, especially married ones, and tell them how they can be excellent helping partners.

Refusing to share an inheritance may reflect personal boundaries or past family conflict. It's not always selfish - sometimes, it's about self-respect.
