A few years ago, at only 8 months old, a pitbull-labrador puppy named Benny had spent several weeks at Carson Shelter, in Gardena, California when he was moved to the shelter's "Death Row" list. This meant that Benny's clock to be adopted by his forever family was quickly running out and the dog was set to be euthanized.
That's when "Saving Carson Shelter Dogs" stepped in. The California based organization is solely devoted to trying to save dogs scheduled for euthanasia and propelling them into the adoption they deserve. A team of volunteers records videos to encourage adoption of dogs who deserve it, sharing it with their public facebook page in pleas to save the dogs.
In many cases, this works really well and countless dogs have been saved thanks to their efforts. Benny was one of those cases who went from sad dog, preparing to die, to overjoyed to go home!

Saving Carson Shelter Dogs was able to get his face public and that led to the dog's forever family finding him.
Saving Carson Dogs recorded his "freedom walk," delighted to share Benny's sheer joy at being adopted with anyone who wanted, or needed to see.
Stories like Benny's continue to inspire and motivate the organization's volunteers to never give up on dogs.
Isn't he just the sweetest??
