Why change something that's already good?

Rebranding… That word makes all executives shrill.
On the other hand, marketing companies rub their hands together every time they hear it.
The brands are under a lot of pressure. They must show that they are modernizing their operations and not just resting on their laurels.
On the other hand, whatever they do, faithful consumers and fans are going to hate it. We have become accustomed to seeing well-known companies like Warner Bros. or Pringles everywhere.
Whether we like them or not, we develop strong, sometimes even emotional bonds with their traits, logos, and features. Therefore, the public pays attention when big firms decide to shake things up and change their "face" with a fantastic brand makeover.
Moreover, when the stakes are this high, taking a clear incorrect turn awakens our inner critic and practically compels us to make fun of the outcome. Redesigns have a minimal margin for error, yet evident defects missed from the beginning affect more than just companies.
Some updates simply go wrong, whether they include our favorite cartoon series, items, or artwork. One online group, aptly named "Crappy Redesign," takes joy in providing just the best examples of awful alterations to our favorite businesses, and they brutally ridicule them publicly.
We have compiled a list of some outstanding examples. Take a look:

Celestial_LightThere is no denying that pleasing people is incredibly hard. We all want change and improvement, but when it happens we realize we liked the way things were before.
And poor managers are just trying to make us happy. Well, creating a good product that’s cheap and doesn’t break has never crossed their minds, so they put all their faith in rebranding.
Maybe that's why we hate the outcome so much...
