Being a parent is one of the most challenging jobs on the planet. Not only do you have the responsibility of taking care of another human, but you also have to ensure that you are also up to par.

According to research, good parenting helps children perform better academically, behaviorally, and even psychologically. These children go on to become adults who may also have children and pass on these values to more people. That’s why parenting is such an essential duty to society.

Despite the importance of parenting, there’s no general rule book to becoming a good parent. Each parent must be able to determine what’s right for themselves and their child based on different factors, and these things are never just white and black.

We guess this is why parents often find themselves asking for external opinions when dealing with specific situations.

One Redditor, for example, couldn’t stop himself from asking the Reddit court for opinions regarding an issue he was experiencing with his teenage daughter.

He shared on the AITA community on Reddit that his daughter had recently started a vegan lifestyle, and he had been supportive of her new lifestyle in many ways.

However, his daughter had a problem with the family using the same pots and pans for meat as she used for her meals. OP then decided to get new pots and pans for her meals alone.

This was still not enough for his daughter who complained that it wasn't proper for them to use the same refrigerator and dishwasher they used for meat for her veggies.

It didn't end there. She then requested that OP and his wife stop eating meat completely.

The Reddit community declared that OP is NTA. Some also shared similar experiences with vegetarians, and we bet OP felt some comfort from reading their stories.

We do hope that Dad and daughter reach a compromise, one that favors both parties.
