Patrick, the standout quarterback for the Chiefs, was born to parents Pat Mahomes and Randi Mahomes on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas.

Patrick, whose full name is Patrick Lavon Mahomes II, shares his name with his father, Patrick Lavon Mahomes Sr. As many NFL enthusiasts may already know, Mahomes Jr. isn't the lone athlete in his family. His father enjoyed a career as a professional baseball pitcher in Major League Baseball from 1992 to 2003, playing for renowned teams such as the Boston Red Sox and the New York Mets.

Patrick also has three siblings: his younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, and his younger half-sisters, Mia Randall and Zoe Mahomes. His father's background in baseball influenced Patrick's early involvement in sports.

During high school, Patrick excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. His high school football coach shared with Yahoo Sports in 2020 that his experiences in baseball and basketball actually contributed to his prowess as a quarterback. Patrick proceeded to balance both baseball and football during his college years at Texas Tech University, alternating between the two sports each season.

Nowadays, he can be found in the NFL stadium stands, enthusiastically supporting his son. He, however, prefers not being seated beside Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Travis Kelce, the team's tight end.
