Forget Toilet Paper Because Reusable 'Family Cloth' Is The New Trend
Because sharing is caring.

Yes, you read it right. The 'family cloth' - reusable wipes in place of toilet paper - is a thing. Instead of throwing toilet paper out, you instead throw the used family cloth into the laundry basket to be washed and reused. Some make the cloth from old clothes that aren't worn anymore, or they can be purchased in a number of colors and patterns.
I'll pause for a moment to let you finish gagging.
Unsurprisingly, many have had some pretty strong reactions against the replacement of toilet paper. While toilet paper isn't that great for the environment, it is one of the few things that most would probably be reluctant to give up in reducing their environmental impact on the world.
The reusable 'family cloth' is a new trend that has pooped (uh, I mean popped) up on our radar recently.

Basically, the family cloth is a piece of fabric that you use to wipe yourself with after you go to the toilet. And then you get to reuse it another day.

Obviously, it gets washed first before reusing.

And obviously, we pity the poor person in charge of washing them.

For obvious reasons, make sure you get a sealed hamper and do your laundry far more often.

We're not the only ones who are nauseated at the thought - some Twitter users tweeted their horror at discovering the family cloth was a real thing.

One Twitter user prophesied this as the fall of western civilisation - surely not...?

I suppose we're not the ones washing it, nor buying all the laundry detergent. We'll just sit here and have nightmares at what some of those cloths just might go through.
