Teacher Shouts At A Seven-Year-Old Kid Suffering From PTSD And Severe Anxiety, Mom Threatens Her Job

All kids may go through extremely stressful situations that have an impact on their emotions and thinking. Children typically make a full recovery soon.

Occasionally, kids who go through a lot of stress, like from an injury, the passing away or imminent death of a close family member or friend, or from violence, will be negatively impacted for a long time. The child might suffer this pain firsthand or see it happen to someone else.

Children may be diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) if they have distressing or limiting symptoms from such stress that last for an extended period of time and affect their relationships and daily activities. Children and teenagers who have PTSD may benefit from therapy.

Also, they will require additional attention, comfort, and care from their caregivers. The OP's seven-year-old son started exhibiting a lot of negative behaviors at school.

The specialists examined him and came to the conclusion that he has severe anxiety and PTSD. The specialists say that the amount of chaos within the school is very triggering for him, and they have limited the kid's contact with heavily socialized environments due to this.

The OP's son stays in a special classroom, and he was doing great until one day, she was called in to come and help.

Everyone agrees that screaming at children is never appropriate, yet everyone has a point at which they'll lose their cool. As more teachers leave the profession, class sizes increase, wages stagnate, education budgets are cut, and curricula are altered, it is inevitable that more teachers will lose their cool.
