Not just that, alcohol consumption can lead to growth and nervous system issues. During pregnancy, the baby's brain is developing, and alcohol consumption can have an impact at any moment.

But OP's friend, who was in her second trimester, requested wine during dinner at her place. The OP poured her friend a glass, though we weren't told if the wine was alcoholic or not.

Well, the friend's partner had to call the OP the next morning, saying that he was furious that she offered the friend a glass of wine and that she shouldn't be drinking. The OP said that her friend can make her own decisions about her body and what she feels is safe.
