Dog Owner Calls His Pregnant GF Names And Says He Regrets Being With Her After She Refused To Help Him Find His Runaway Corgi

There are a lot of things you can do and say to show love & support to your pregnant significant other. Calling them a b*tch and yelling that you regret being with them is most definitely not one of those things.

This OP said he was panicking about his missing dog when he yelled those awful things to his girlfriend. His GF is currently five months pregnant and having a rough bout of nausea and fatigue that comes with when all of this went down.

OP said he understands why she won't help him find his missing dog but he can't let go of how uncaring and selfish she was. His corgi, apparently, runs away at least once a week and his GF usually helps him find her.

She complains about the search, but she helps. After a few repeats of the dog running away, OP installed security cameras and saw his corgi scaling their 8ft fence.

He added "spinners" thinking it would stop the corgi's adventures but it didn't work. This time, OP was out in the yard playing with the corgi when he stepped inside for a few seconds to see why his phone was ringing.

He went back out and the dog was nowhere to be seen. OP went searching for her but when he couldn't, he went back inside to ask his GF to help him.

She was curled up on the couch when OP asked her and she immediately said no

She told him she was tired of chasing his dog and that OP should have watched her more carefully

OP explained that he was inside just a few seconds but his GF wouldn't hear any of it

After 30-minutes of searching for the corgi, OP went home again to ask his GF to help him

She finally snapped and told him she was done chasing the dog when she was already exhausted from constantly throwing up. OP yelled back and called his GF a b*tch.

He said he shouldn't have chosen a partner who was so heartless. OP said he apologized after finding his dog but she cursed at him and hasn't talked to him since.

His friends and family are on OP's side except for his sister who said he was a prick. She told him that if her own BF spoke to her the way OP talked to his fiancé, she will leave immediately.

This was the first and only time his fiancé didn't help him search for his dog and he got this nasty. OP's sister has a point.

OP doesn't even realize it but he's failing his girlfriend and his dog

If the fence doesn't deter the dog, why stop there at finding solutions? OP is a lazy dog owner.

Or his GF will end up taking care of the baby alone

The dog and the baby deserve better than a caretaker like OP. He's doing the bare minimum and it's obviously not enough.

Calling her a heartless b*tch is not something you say out of panic

The dog is probably understimulated and underexercised which is why she's repeatedly running away

If OP refuses to take accountability for his dog, what will he do when it escapes once the baby is born?

Why is he going around asking friends & family to pick sides anyway?

And then snapping at her for refusing to tolerate your irresponsibility

I get that he was panicking about his dog but that was in no way an excuse to call his GF names and accusing her of being heartless

He was already refusing to take responsibility for his words. OP probably thinks he's a catch.

The only person regretting this relationship is probably OP's fiancé

What OP did is enough reason to end a relationship

If the dog escapes once a week, shouldn't you be better equipped at handling it?

Since enough of the people he knows sided with him, OP convinced himself people online will do the same thing

Calling OP a prick is kindness. His GF could have called him worse things, and it would have been justified after what he said & did to her.

Who in their right mind tells their pregnant fiancé that they regret being with them because they are too nauseated to help with looking for a dog? OP needs to realize how awfully he treated his GF before she smarts up and leaves his sorry self.
