Since cats have covered every corner of modern media with their presence, it shouldn't be a surprise that lots of gamers love cats. So when video games and cats come together, that's a reason to make a big, happy stink!

That's precisely what's going on in the Playstation universe: cats. Cat crazed gamers found themselves delighted to learn about this new game.

A trailer for a new PlayStation 5 game has been released, and it's safe to say people are pretty pumped about it. The game features a mystery-solving cat who wears a mini-backpack. So, who wouldn't be excited?

During Sony's unveiling of the fifth major console from the gaming franchise, the company also gave us a glimpse of some of the new games that are due to be released in the coming months.

The trailer for the new game called Stray, developed by BlueTwelve and published by Annapurna Interactive, sadly didn't feature any gameplay footage. However, it definitely gave enough away to get us interested.

Annapurna Interactive released a statement describing what we can expect from the game.

"Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly."

"Players will play as a stray cat, roaming surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by nothing but unassuming droids and dangerous creatures."

"Lost, alone and separated from family, players must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find the way home."

The trailer shows a cat strolling through a futuristic world filled with robots.

But the part that got fans the most excited? The fact that the cat gets to wear a mini-backpack, of course!

Stray is set to be released in 2021; however, a specific release date has yet to be announced.
