Mom-To-Be Left Confused After She Wasn't Invited To The Baby Shower For The Baby She Was Carrying

Everyone loves a baby shower, right? After all, it's a day to celebrate the beautiful mother-to-be and the precious new baby she is carrying.

But when Reddit user u/LorenaCosta2005 was pregnant with her baby, she wasn't invited to the baby shower. That's right, there was a shower, but the mama-to-be wasn't invited.

The Redditor shared her storing in the r/AITA (Am I The A**hole?) subreddit recently. She explained that before she and her boyfriend had their baby, her boyfriend's aunt decided to throw a baby shower for him.

She said it was going to be a "men only" shower, so the OP wasn't invited. But the OP was confused considering his mother, his aunt, and his female cousin would all be attending.

Not to mention that the OP was carrying the baby, but wasn't allowed to be there. When she questioned her boyfriend, he simply told her it was "out of his control."

The OP says she was upset that he didn't stand up for her and that the baby shower should have been for both of them. Besides, he hadn't exactly been acting like the father of the year during her pregnancy.

The OP says her boyfriend had only shown up for two of her doctor's appointments. And, even then, he left early for one of them to spend time with his mother, and for the other appointment, he spent the entire time on the phone with his mom.

The OP says she had to do almost everything on her own during the pregnancy, but now she's wondering if she's the a**hole here. Keep scrolling to see how people reacted.

What are your thoughts on this situation? Do you think the OP is overreacting here, or is it understandable that she would be upset for not being included in the baby shower?
