From Surgery To 'Third State' — Woman Describes Her Profound Afterlife Experience

Nanci Danison’s story offers a captivating insight into the experiences of individuals who claim to have glimpsed life beyond death. In 1994, Danison, a successful attorney from Ohio, faced a medical procedure after doctors suspected she might have breast cancer.

While awaiting a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, she underwent surgery to remove a suspicious lump. Tragically, during the operation, she suffered a fatal reaction to the anesthesia, causing her heart to stop. However, Nanci described this moment, which typically marks the end of life, as the beginning of her most profound experience.

Danison explained that rather than losing consciousness, she found herself in what she described as a 'third state'—a place between life and death. She remained fully aware, watching from outside her body as the medical team worked to revive her.

This detachment from her physical self marked the beginning of her spiritual journey. Nanci reported feeling a deep sense of peace and clarity as she transitioned into a realm she associated with the afterlife. In this new state, Danison encountered 'Light Beings'—spiritual entities she identified as friends and loved ones who had passed away.

According to her, these beings were no longer human but appeared as radiant, luminous figures. These beings, she said, remembered her life, and she was able to connect with them on a profound spiritual level.

Nanci Danison, 74, shared that she has come to terms with her mortality and no longer fears death.

"I went into the Light, was completely saturated with unconditional love, bliss, and acceptance. I literally merged my Energy and being into my five Light Being friends, so that I could experience their physical lifetimes.

Others call it God, Yahweh, Allah, the Creator, etc. While deeper inside the Source phenomenon’s Energy Field, I watched Creation of our universe as the meaning and purpose of life were explained to me by Source itself.

I was shown that I had never been separated from Source and was in fact an integrated part of its consciousness and self-awareness that had merely temporarily inhabited a human animal.

The purpose of life is to allow Source to experience the feelings and sensations of the universe it created comparable to how we experience our dreams through the dream-character version of ourselves.

When our bodies die, we simply wake up from the dream of human life and resume living spiritual life in what we call the afterlife." she shared her experience.

In 1994, the lawyer passed away during surgery.

Before this experience, Nanci had achieved significant success as a partner in a major law firm, holding multiple degrees and earning a comfortable living. However, the stresses of her career had taken a toll on her personal life.

She worked long hours and had little time for her husband, leading to their eventual divorce. After her near-death experience, Nanci realized that these achievements mattered little in the grander scheme of existence.

Upon regaining consciousness, Nanci’s life changed dramatically. She left her high-powered law career to open her solo practice, where she focused on living a more meaningful and loving life.

She also began writing books about her experience, intensely wanting to share the wisdom she had gained in the afterlife.

She described herself as being in a state between life and the afterlife.

She reported experiencing another severe illness in 2001, during which her Light Being friends warned her of difficult times ahead.
