Life is brimming with surprises. Obviously, we can't choose the ones that come to us; one day they come as an arrowhead in a stream that has dried up; the next is a plant growing out of concrete.

Surprises may seem like something irrelevant, but even good researchers look for them, as well as occurrences and errors. With a little determination and curiosity, they can transform startling incidents into new bits of knowledge.
