It’s not uncommon for people to see a horse and fall entirely in love with it. Horses aren’t just majestic - they are pretty fascinating, and some might even call their features superpowers. 

Haha, maybe that’s a stretch, but these long-legged animals have lightning-fast reflexes and a nearly 360-degree field of vision. 

They can even sleep standing up. Wouldn’t it be amazing if humans could do the same too? 

Yet, these aren’t the only amazing things about horses. They are brilliant too and can be taught many different tasks through positive reinforcement and training.

If you’re a dog lover, you will find horses just as lovely as your fluffy canine, as they are social animals who love to spend time with creatures they form friendships with.

The heroes of the day

Melisa Tysver, her husband Tony, and her daughter were enjoying a trip through the Green Mountain in Wyoming when they spotted a wild horse struggling.

A horse in distress

The horse was on the ground with her legs stuck in a fence. It was evident that she had been there for a while.

A risky move

Even though approaching an animal in distress that’s not familiar to you isn’t the safest thing, Tony didn’t miss a beat as he hurried to help the horse.

He carefully freed the horse by cutting the wires keeping her in place.

The horse was too weak to move after being freed. But Tony and his daughter gave her the needed emotional support

After being freed, the horse stayed on the ground, unable to move. Tony and his daughter started to pet her until she regained her strength. 

A cheerleader for the rescue team

Throughout the heroic process, Melissa was behind the camera, encouraging her daughter and husband. 

In her words;

Whatever you’re doing, you’re doing all right because it’s not fighting you.

Sharing the beautiful moment

They shared the moment online, and it unsurprisingly went viral. Fans of the video got another great news when Melisa shared an update.

She revealed that they were able to track down the same herd later on to check up on the horse. To their excitement, the wild horse was doing excellently well, and was even leading the pack.
