Milwaukee Bus Driver Goes Beyond Her Duty To Reunite Two Dogs With Their Family Just In Time For The Holidays
It's the reunion we've all been waiting for!

Her name is Jamie Grabowski and she is a bus driver for the Milwaukee Country Transit System. Jamie, together with the help of the other public servants of Milwaukee County, is the reason why the two dogs got reunited with their family.
It was about midnight at the end of her route when Jamie spotted two dogs by the side of the road. The pair were darting in and out of the street, seemingly unaware of any danger they’re in.
She got concerned that the two dogs could be hit by oncoming traffic, so she hollered at them that it’s time to go home. The pups seemed to understand what Jamie was saying.
They didn’t look like typical strays and the temperature that night was about to drop below 20 degrees. Jamie asked them to come with her and with a bit of her guidance, she coaxed them to go inside the bus.
The pair were exploring around the bus while Jamie called the dispatchers. She explained the situation the dogs were in and how she brought them onto her bus out of fear of them getting hit.
Jamie made the pups comfortable as they waited for a police officer to arrive. Once the police officer came, he transferred the duo from the bus to the police car for transport.
The officer will surrender the dogs to the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission. The commission is in charge of taking in and caring for stray animals in Milwaukee County.
They found out that the wandering pups somehow got out of their family’s yard 2.5 miles away from where Jamie chanced upon them. Their family has been searching for them the whole night!
Their owners extended their gratitude for Jamie, the police officers, the MADACC, and everyone involved in the return of their prodigal pups just in time for the holidays.

Look at them just chillin' inside the bus

With the temperature dropping below 20 degrees that night, these dogs were lucky Jamie saw them

Not to mention the danger of passing vehicles hitting them

Jamie says she’s so happy that she was in the right place, at the right time to help the adventurous pair.

She also jokingly attributed her successful rescue to her talent of “dog whispering.”

Jamie is an avid animal lover and has dogs of her own.

She can be heard on video while playing with the escape artists, that her dogs will be very mad at her when she gets home since she will smell like the two of them.

Thank heavens for these dedicated public servants

Now the reunited happy family can celebrate Christmas together!

People were applauding Jamie for helping the dogs without hesitation

Merry Christmas indeed

Maybe Jamie is the Mary Poppins for dogs!

It really was a group effort that wouldn't have happened if Jamie didn't see the dogs and help them

Apparently, the people of Milwaukee County can sleep soundly at night that there are plenty of people like Jamie looking out for them and their furry buddies

You can watch Jamie's act of compassion in the video below:
Without Jamie and other members of the community, those dogs could have easily gotten hurt. Thankfully, they opened up their hearts and selflessly helped reunite a family.
This touching rescue story is enough to make any adult cry. All the dog owners in the world could only hope that there are others like Jamie around when their doggies decide to go on a little adventure.

Refusing to share an inheritance may reflect personal boundaries or past family conflict. It's not always selfish - sometimes, it's about self-respect.
