Storm has always been speaking her mind ever since she was just a little kitten. When she discovers something in the house, she would immediately tell her family about it.
She's proud of showing them what's she's up to at a given moment. They're always looking forward to what the adorable cat is going to show them next.
According to Storm's mom, Caitlyn Hartley, she is a curious cat. Storm even makes different kinds of noises.
If Storm were human, she'd probably be very talkative. She's so playful and she talks to her family always.
Among the things that make Storm speak her mind with her family is when she finds animals who need their help. The family's basement window features a small pocket that tends to trap wildlife.
Since Storm really loves playing in the basement, where she owns a cat condo and slide on the floor. In case there's an animal who needs help, she would be the first one to notice it.
She would quickly alert her family about what she discovered. Hartley tells that Storm has alerted her about tons of animals getting stuck in the window.
She's reported a trapped bunny, mole, and frogs. She would even be proud about discovering beetles, spiders, stink bugs, and other bugs in the house.
Storm tried to get her moms attention one day.
Once again, Storm wanted her mom to accompany her to the basement. Initially, Hartley thought that she only wanted to place.
But when she saw what Storm wanted to report, she realized that another animal is currently stuck in the window.
CAITLYN HARTLEYNot only that, she was quite terrified of the creature.
I was not expecting a snake to get stuck there, and he was a decent size garter snake.
Hartley was completely shocked.
CAITLYN HARTLEYHere's the video of Storm reporting the incident to Hartley.
According to Hartley, to set the snake free, her husband opened the window from the basement.
For his safety, he wore gloves when he opened the window and then the screen. He gently yet hastily took the snake and dropped him in a box, which Hartley held.
I had to quickly put the sides of the box down enough so the snake didn't jump back out. I carried the snake outside and released it into the cluster of trees by our house.
Thankfully, the snake seemed fine.
It wasn't injured at all. The friendly Hartley asked the snake to not get trapped in their window again.
Hartley positioned the box so that the snake could slither off into the trees. He was finally able to get back to his normal life.
As for Storm, she will continue being vigilant for the animals who might get stuck in their basement window. As always, her family will always be there to rescue them.
Cats are typically curious. It's one of those traits that we love.
Their curiosity is part of their instincts. If something catches their eye, they would be willing to explore it by themselves.
For our beloved kitties, the world around them is full of wonder. It's no wonder why Storm always looks concerned when she sees some wildlife stuck in the window.
