36 Beagles That Survived Cruel Lab Testing Are Now Looking For Their Forever Homes

36 beagles who were cruelly force-fed fungicides as part of a year-long animal testing experiment have been released after immense pressure from an online petition.

Corteva Agriscience decided to release the dogs after their cruel lab was brought to the attention of the public by the Humane Society of the United States, and a petition was launched for the beagle's freedom.

After an investigation into the treatment of the animals at Charles River Laboratories, the Humane Society reported that the beagles were "infused with drugs, pesticides, and other products, using crude methods.”

They also released disturbing footage showing wounded and caged beagles being force-fed an unknown substance.

Over 300,000 people signed the petition, desperate to stop the unnecessary suffering being inflicted upon these beautiful dogs.

Corteva tweeted about how they plan to "continually refine, reduce and replace animal tests wherever possible."

On March 28, the Michigan Humane Society issued the following statement:

Beagles are beautiful, fun-loving and spirited dogs who would make a loyal companion for any dog lover.

Although they are not quite ready for adoption at this stage, if you are interested in giving one of these gorgeous pups a forever home, keep checking the Michigan Humane Society’s social media channels for updates on their availability.

Good luck beautiful doggo's!
