We've seen plenty of stories where pet owners don't feel obligated to follow the laws regarding their pets, and it's quite concerning to read. People are happy to follow the law when it comes to them but they disregard pet laws like it's just a suggestion and not something you have to do.
These laws exist for a reason and even though you can't figure out what their purpose you should still feel obligated to respect them. This story is about dog owners not caring about the law that states their dog should always be on a leash when outside.
The story was shared on Reddit by user u/theborderofutopia after they got tired of not being able to walk their leash-trained cat in his neighborhood. OP tries to walk his cat early in the day when there are fewer people outside but even then someone will come out with their dog and since they're usually not on a leash, OP has to pick up the kitty and go away.
The thing that annoyed OP most is that none of the dog owners take responsibility and they just blame them for walking the cat, even though they're the ones breaking the law. When OP finally had enough they started to take pictures of the neighbors breaking this law and reporting them to complex management.
After they started getting fined for breaking this law, the dog owners wanted to know who was the one reporting them. After sharing this with a friend, OP was surprised that the friend sided with the neighbors so they decided to post the story on Reddit to get some more opinions.
So make sure to scroll down and read the entire story before choosing a side and also, check the comments to see whether the other Redditors agree.
