Ironically, one of the best competitions ever.
There’s almost nothing people use today that wasn’t created by someone. From complicated devices like phones and laptops to the simpler things of life like clothes, nothing exists without being created by someone.
The effort that goes into creating these things for human use is incredible. For example, you’d never imagine how much effort and mental exercise go into creating one outfit.
Yet, there are millions worldwide. Before a person can wear an outfit, it undergoes the sequential process of laying, marking, cutting, stitching, checking, finishing, pressing, and packaging.
Multiple individuals often carry out these processes. This is just one of the many things people create for fellow humans.
Imagine having a phone without the volume control. It would be pretty challenging to adjust to using it. Wouldn’t it?
Yet, you’ve probably never thought about how phones and other devices got to have volume controls. Like all other things, someone or a group of people created volume controls, and during this creation, the ease of usage was certainly considered.
A group of designers on Twitter decided to compete to find who could create the worst volume interface in the world, and it was a pretty fascinating competition. The results range from downright annoying to hilarious.
