All dog lovers and dog owners can agree that dogs are a gift from the universe and that they were put on Earth to make us happy. They live easy, blissful lives full of sleep and food, and are so unapologetically dorky and loving. They're just the best- and they are all good boys (and girls, obvvy).
What's even more amazing is that they have always been good boys. The joy and love and cuteness that dogs bring to us was also experienced throughout history by other dog owners. Victorian artist Charles Burton Barber, who became a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, loved to paint pictures of people in his era with their animals friends, especially doggos. His photos are a great example of dog's greatness transcending time.
Take a look here at his Victorian paintings of dogs that are still extremely relatable for dog owners, even after over 100 years after their creation.
