Woman's Niece Is Mad That She Can't Bring Hunting Dog To Family Dinners, But Her Aunt Can Bring A Puppy
On this AITA post, we'll be diving into a woman's post about her niece being mad that she brings her puppy to family dinners, while she and her family can't bring their larger, wilder, hunting dog to family dinners. Now, this might seem like a minuscule thing to be bothered about but we can imagine that if there's some tension within the family then it can cause more problems.

If you don't know about AITA threads on Reddit, well they are where people come in, share their stories, and people give their opinion on whether or not the OP is wrong for how they reacted to said situation. Usually, people come to the AITA thread to tell family stories, friend drama, neighbor horror stories, and so much more.
Today, we're just diving into a situation where the OP really wants to know about the fairness in the situation. So, if this kind of thing sounds like something you'll like then you'll want to stay til the end to find out what people had to say and what the verdict is on OP.
With that being said, let's go ahead and dive into this story and all of the amazing comments left on the thread as well.
Here's how the story starts with OP introducing themselves and explaining the story in the beginning.
She then explains more about the behavior of each of the dogs and how they're different.
She says that she thinks her parents do enjoy having an animal around.
This is how she ends the post with a little additional info.
First comment basically says that OP is NTA and that it's not their problem.
This person definitely said it right in this comment.
Definitely agree that the better verdict is NAH in this situation.
Right, ultimately everyone is okay with it besides her. However, this is to be expected of a kid who might not understand the circumstances.
People did become a little brutal at times, but essentially the verdict is NTA.
This is true, you really can't compare the dogs because they are quite different. Again, it's understandable that the niece is acting this way.
People all seem to be saying about the same thing.
Ultimately it's up to the parents which dog, if any, are allowed in the home.
Again, the homeowners are the ones who's opinion matters.
This comment asked for a bit more information and got a response from the OP.
I definitely would brush it over as well because the niece is a kid and really it's not hurting anyone or become that big of a deal yet.
This person left it simple and only said their response in the situation.
Honestly, it's not even really OP's fault because she wasn't the one saying that they can't bring the dog.
This is so true. Not all dogs are the same and some have been raised differently, bred differently, or just act differently and that's okay.
Well, this was an interesting story. After reading this post I definitely think that OP could have just brushed this off as the 10-year-old niece probably, but doesn't understand and thinks it's unfair.
it seems that all the comments say she's NTA and neither is the niece, but that the decision is ultimately up to the parents anyway.
