We all love kids, but boy, they can really be cruel sometimes. Words can be extremely hurtful, and kids tend to be the worst for blurting out mean comments.
Jill Stahl Struckman is a proud mama of four from Missouri who shared an all too familiar story on Facebook when her 10-year-old son Evan called her in tears. It was his school's Halloween party, and Evan had decided to dress as Tony Stark (aka Iron Man).
Evan went all out with his costume, wearing a shirt, vest, slicked-back hair, and sunglasses, complete with a beard and mustache painted on his adorable face. Jill says Evan was right into character and would only answer to 'Tony' or 'Mr. Stark.'
Evan was incredibly proud of his outfit until some nasty kids made fun of him on the school bus. As soon as Evan got off the bus, he ran to the bathroom and washed off his makeup.
The sweet little boy was devastated and didn't want to attend the Halloween party anymore. He called his mom crying, and she immediately went to collect him.
Jill took her son to a local Starbucks for a treat to cheer him up. After talking through his feelings, Evan decided that he didn't want to miss out on the party after all.
So, Jill took him home, redid his makeup, and Evan went back to school like a true superhero.
After Jill posted the story on Facebook, she received an incredible response from people everywhere. Some lovely people even wanted to send Evan money, but instead, Jill offered a postal address where they could send Evan a card if they wished.
