Girl Throws Away Lingerie Gifted by Friend's Brother, Sparks Upset

We don't even understand why he would have given her that in the first place.

Now this post from the AITA thread is actually quite odd because I don't think we have a lot of posts like this where the situation is kind of odd. This AITA thread on Reddit is the best place to go if you want to get an unbiased opinion and advice on your situation from people on the internet.

With this being said, we are looking at a post that was submitted by a woman who wants to know if she's in the wrong for throwing out the lingerie that her friend's brother gifted her. Ultimately, her post seems like she and the brother weren't that close or that they didn't have a silly relationship where this would have been something they did.

The lingerie from a friend's brother just already sounds weird so we really don't blame her for wanting to throw it out especially if she's not the type to wear lingerie anyway. The brother freaked out on her and was very upset that she didn't want the lingerie and threw it out.

I don't know if he really understands how weird it is but clearly, he's upset for a reason. So if you're interested then keep on reading as we dive in and give you a full look at the post and all the best comments on it.

OP starts off their post with explaining their relationship with the brother and the friend.

This is when she gets into the bulk of the story and when he gives her the lingerie as a present.

This is when they find out that she threw it out after he asked if she wore it yet and this is what caused the argument.

The friend honestly sucks though because she should have stood up for OP and maybe honestly she should have told him originally that she didn't want it.

OP says that she just felt a little bit uncomfortable but again she should have probably told him that first.

Maybe she should have been more discreet so that she didn't have to tell anyone she threw it out and could just lie.

People immediately came to the comments to tell OP that she was not wrong for this and that the brother was being a little weird by giving her the lingerie.

We are glad that someone else thinks this is weird because we definitely think this was either a move on her or just something creepy.

I don't really get how OP's friend doesn't see this as weird and didn't talk her brother out of getting the lingerie for her.

It seems like pretty much everyone in the comments here is saying that this is really weird of him to do.

After reading this post we definitely think that the guy was being so weird or had an ulterior motive about the situation. We hope that OP gets out of this man's life because he seems quite toxic honestly and we are not really sure what his motive here honestly.

We just hope that OP is not put in an awkward position again.
