Man Comes Across A Six-Foot Bird While Taking His Dog For A Stroll, And The Photos He Took Of It Are Stunning

Imagine taking a stroll in the woods and coming across a huge bird. I’m talking about a 6-foot bird. What would you do?

Whatever it is, the man who encountered this same situation chose to do something a lot of us would. He and his dog, named Molly, were out strolling close to the forests of Dean when he saw a bird that was actually six feet tall.

The bird resembled something that had meandered off of the set of Crocodile Dundee or the primeval forests of New Zealand, and it made him halt abruptly in dismay after he had strolled around a corner. In an environment better known for its blossoming wild boar population, Jason Burford brought out his mobile phone and started videoing the bird.

And while following the bird, he continued taking clips before it took off into the distance. Jason is actually a keeper of chickens and bantams, and he said that he had just gone to the region spontaneously as he had once resided in the area.

Jason Retired is from Cinderford in Gloucestershire, and he also mentioned that the bird was nearly six feet tall from where he was standing, which made for an overwhelming sight. He also added that he stopped recording, but you needed to see it with its feathers completely loosened out.

Mr. Burford claims that the bird got away from a nearby field and he has since found where it came from, plus it has been reported to the RSPCA. The huge bird took off and it may probably be because it noticed it was being followed.

There are other animals that can be found running around in the forest of Dean, not just Rheas. In the past couple of years, the region has likewise suffered from issues with aggressive wildboards, and this is something Mr. Burford has encountered firsthand.

A representative for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds affirmed that the bird was indeed a rhea. The representative added that the Rhea had likely gotten away from a nearby location.

It’s not every day one gets to see a huge bird stroll through the forest while you’re taking your dog out for a stroll. Such encounters will be a good opportunity to grab some pictures and videos for the gram (lol... just saying though).

But now it's up to you to tell us what you think about this massive bird and what you would do if you came across one in the comments section.
