This Starbucks barista clearly doesn't know what it's like to work a full time job.
Many of us have worked or do work a full-time job or at least know what it feels like to work 8 hours a day. I mean, honestly, most jobs do schedule you for an 8-hour day as the standard type of workday.
So, whether you were this young or not, we are sure that you've had to work an 8-hour shift at some point in your life. We don't usually see people have a reaction like this to working, but it's definitely something that makes us wonder how people grew up or what they're thinking.
Now, we wanted to share this post because TikTok blew up, and the comments were actually a little funny. We know that this barista was feeling a lot of stress before, but we also know that many of us have had a breakdown about work and said we'd quit but clocked in the very next day.
We do recognize his feelings, and we want to make sure that people know that jobs can be difficult, and Starbucks is a very stressful, demanding, and fast-paced job with some of the most ruthless customers. So, if you want to hear more about this viral TikTok, then keep reading.
“I’m literally about to quit,” he said. “I don’t know if I’m going to do it, but like, I really want to. I almost walked out today. And I’m crying in the back room, and I almost cried on the floor.”
He's clearly very upset about his job and says he wants to quit. He then explains more on why he's upset.
“I’m a full-time student. I get scheduled for 25 hours a week, and on weekends they schedule me the entire day — open to close. I’m on the schedule for eight-and-a-half hours, both Saturday and Sunday.”
The video went viral with over 11 million views.
Some people even came out about how Starbucks is pretty busy and understaffed at times which people don't recognize.
“It’s just not viable. It’s very stressful,” Ortiz said. “And a lot of people don’t really notice, like, the humans behind this assembly.”

The older generation said how they dealt with worse, so he'll be okay, but the younger generation said that with school, he's working a lot of hours.
No matter the stance, if he's unhappy, then he definitely should try to figure out how to change it. But, whatever changes he makes, he will still need to work.
