Spider-Man has been an iconic character in the Marvel universe, whether you're talking about comic books or well-produced movies.
There's just something about someone ordinary being given the chance to grow and become extraordinary. This is why the origin of Spider-Man is well-known and iconic.
It wasn't every day you hear about superheroes gaining their powers through animal or insect bites until he was introduced to the masses with the 2002 Spider-Man movie starring Tobey Maguire. Then after that, the story and character blew up to be recognized by adults and kids alike.
Tobey Maguire playing Spider-Man proved to be charming and even if there had been great actors who played the recent versions of Spider-Man, the 2002 movie still holds a special place. The praise for him playing the friendly neighborhood superhero went throughout the other two movies from the trilogy.
What made the movies great was not only the story but the actors playing the other characters. In most people's minds, they recognized those actors in real life as the character they played in the first Spiderman-Trilogy.
But where are they now and what do they look like? Here we're going to go back and forth for each actor to see what they looked like then and twenty years after.
Let's start with our friendly neighborhood web slinger when he appeared in the movie by Sam Raimi

Fun fact about Willem Defoe: he tried to get into character as much as possible and requested that he does whatever stunts they would allow him. Turns out he's a pro after learning the Goblin glider within 15 minutes.

Here's a lovely quote from her:
"I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most."

Stan Lee said something in a 2015 interview that stuck to the hearts of those who wished to be like Spider-Man, "What I like about the costume is that anybody reading Spider-Man in any part of the world can imagine that they themselves are under the costume. And that’s a good thing"
