The famous actor, writer, and producer Shared news oh his beloved cat's death with his fans on Twitter and Instagram, where he often posted pictures and videos of his 16-year-old Siamese friend and their adventures together.
"Just had to say goodbye to the sweetest little soul I've ever known," the author of The Office captioned pictures in an Instagram post. "RIP Ollie. July 9th, 2003 - March 10th, 2020."
The actor was overwhelmed by the love and support he got from his celeb friends and fans who understood just how much he adored his furry friend. Losing a pet is a blow for any person, celebrity or not.

Gervais' longtime partner Jane Fallon also grieves over the loss with a picture tribute on social media.
"I have awful news," she wrote on Twitter. "My smart, funny, feisty, beautiful sidekick of the last 16 & a half years @myleftfang has passed away after a sudden downturn in her health at the weekend. My heart is broken in two. I have no idea what I’m going to do without her by my side. #Ollie"
Ollie was given as a present to Gervais by the U.K. talk show host Jonathan Ross, who stunned the artist with the kitten live on the air in 2003. He then named it after his favorite comedy movie star Oliver Hardy.
