As fate would have it, our narrator (Original Poster) and her sister found themselves expecting babies at the same time. Only a mere month separated their due dates.

Sadly, tragedy struck a few months later. The sister and her husband were involved in a devastating accident that resulted in the loss of their unborn child.

Cutting to the present, the dust seemed to settle. OP decided to press forward and was gearing up to celebrate her baby shower.

She extended invitations to a few close friends and family—her still-grieving sister included. She did make a point to state that she completely understood if her sister couldn’t make it. 

The D-day came, and OP’s sister wasn’t in attendance—expected and understandable. The event was a huge success nevertheless.

Later on, OP innocently shared two snapshots from her baby shower, blissfully unaware of the storm it would brew. The simple caption ‘growing my beautiful family’ seemed to be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Within mere moments, she received a text blast from her sister raging about how inconsiderate the photos and caption were. She claimed to be okay with the baby shower, but the fact OP was ‘flaunting’ pictures was a cheap shot.
