Every now and then, we do read about one rescue story or another. Well, here is one more rescue story that shows the astounding ignorance of certain people and the valiant compassion of others.
On a cold December morning, a man stumbled upon six badly looking young pups in the timbers of Alabama on his way to his workplace. The crusty animals stayed in unnerving, dangerous situations and tried to keep warm by cuddling against one another.
The young pups, who barely resembled pet canines, had a bald pink, and dried-out appearance. They were far too young to wander the woodlands without a mother and were doomed to the most horrendous death without immediate assistance and expert treatment.
The four-legged siblings were taken to a shelter close by in Sylacauga, Alabama, and the staff was shocked by the appearance of the young pups as well as the mistreatment they had endured.
It's difficult to accept that this can really be the cruel beginning of an endearing achievement story. However, we are so satisfied because it is thanks to the treatment of the peaceful heroes who live among us!
Nicole Zaguroli, with Second City Canine Rescue (SCCR), said that the puppies were stinky to the point that the sanctuary group needed to use masks just to bathe them. "They were in really bad shape; they had scabies; they were malnourished, and they were cold," Zaguroli added.

The staff at the shelter assumed that the little puppies weighing only an additional 5 pounds were of the small variety, but because of the repulsive condition they were found in, determining their true origins was difficult.

The first guess was that the puppies' breeds were cocker spaniel blends, which, to everybody's shock, later on turned out to be far from what they truly are. The malnourished pups were taken to Auburn Vet College for significant medical attention and, a while later, they were put into two foster homes so they could be attended to more.

Nicole Zaguroli stated that the foster homes that were perseverant enough to handle these very powerless little pups were their heavenly angels.
"There were miracles in these pet dogs' quick recovery—appropriate nourishment, medicated bathrooms, as well as treatment, was the key. The puppies started to gradually recuperate and expand their white cosy fur."

When the puppies were at last ready to be set up for adoption so they could find their forever homes, an increased inquiry concerning what breed they were sprang up once more. But then their appearance suggested that they were Fantastic Pyrenees/poodle blends.
It was only after the pets started to rapidly gain significant weight that one of the adopters did a DNA test. Then it was discovered that these cuties are 100% Excellent Pyrenees and they are called the Pyrenean Mountain Pet Dog.

Dogs of this breed vary in size and strength, as well as having incredible guarding abilities. They can grow to around 30 inches at the shoulders and weigh more than an additional 100 pounds.
Now this doesn't seem or sound like a poodle, right? Well, it's difficult to accept that these cute and incredible animals were once little, abandoned and crusty.
Luckily, each little pup that was rescued found a caring, forever home to settle down in, and it is all thanks to the amazing volunteers working at Secondly City Pooch Rescue.

After a couple of months, the puppies did not only adjust to their new homes; they also became balanced and healthy while also being energetic and truly fulfilled companions to their owners. One of the puppies, named Bear, has an Instagram account where his everyday experiences and adventures are shared with his followers.
