Contractor Smashed A Newly Renovated Bathroom Because Client Refused To Pay The Balance
The changes in her bathroom was not the new look she was hoping for

Having anything remodeled in your house isn't cheap. It gets even bigger when it's a whole room or involves expensive materials.
Then if it's your first time having something remodeled, you have to screen people who can do it for you. You'll need someone with the right skills and tools to make sure the remodeling would last longer and you'll be satisfied with it.
Remodeling could be done for repairing reasons but sometimes a room needs freshening to make you more satisfied in your home. This is why it's better to have it done by someone who'll get what you envision and people you can eventually trust to come into your home.
For Amber Trucke, when she hired a remodeling company to have her shower fixed, she thought that it wouldn't be this scary. Trucke wanted to renovate her shower room and talked about it with the contractor then they started working.
The day the contractor, Jordan, packed up, Amber was at work. He sent her a reminder for the remaining balance but Amber wanted to check it out first before paying the rest of the bill. There were also some things that weren't finished but Jordan tried to reason that it was out of their agreement.
The argument went on in their messages which Amber provided for people to see the conversation they had before it led to Jordan telling her that they were going to repossess their 'unpaid materials. Amber threatened to call the cops.
The video of this contractor demolishing Amber Trucke's shower after being hired to remodel it went viral

It even made it to the news

Amber Trucke seeked services from Terry James Gregory and Jordan Cazares of Dream Home Remodels when she decided to remodel her shower

She has paid some of the balance but wanted to see if the shower was working before paying the rest of it

This is when the contractor got mad and went back to her house to smash the tiles off of the walls

Here are the screenshots of their conversation

Jordan justified what they did and did not agreed on. Amber insisted not paying until she sees everything is done well and pointed out that the project was overdue

Amber got her dad's opinion regarding the situation and he agreed with her

Amber started calling out the bad business practice Jordan was doing while he was listing out the extra labor they did

Amber stood firm on her statement to only pay when she sees everything is working when she gets home

The argument went on and Jordan refused to share receipts and details about Amber's orders

Then she was informed that the workers are on their way to repossess the materials they used and were let in

Amber then shared how everything looked when the project was still in progress

Here are the unpolished repairs on the ceiling

The window was one of the main issues for Amber

Amber also wanted to see the project finished first since she'd seen some work she wasn't satisfied with when they were in progress

There was a misunderstanding though and Amber wanted to only put off the payment and not run out on them

There were comments following the thread and some symphatized with the contractor

While others sided with Amber

Amber trying to delay her payment is seen by others as disrespect to the labor they did

The reaction of the contractor might not be justified in court

In regards to telling Amber that it was their property because although it was installed, it hasn't been paid of yet, she still owns it according to the law

But a lot disagree with that thought too

According to this user, the contractor was only taking back what was his

This user on the other hand suggested a more legal option for Jordan to take

The work of the contractor is also one aspect that was criticized

The opinions on who was right or wrong are not clear with the number of comments the story had. There were points on each side that were justifiable and points that didn't help in their case.
Moreover, it would be better if they could reach an amicable decision. Which side do you think was right and which side do you think should apologize?
