So, if someone fails to be honest with their partner, it's expected for their trust to be broken and probably their relationship too. A Reddit user recently found himself in a tough situation.

He accidentally discovered something about his girlfriend, but she accused him of overreacting. Therefore, he shared his story with the Reddit community and asked people for their opinions.

The OP and his girlfriend, both 27 years old, have been in a relationship for a year and a half. Recently, they went to dinner with his girlfriend's friend.

During the conversation, the friend mentioned someone named Dan. The OP asked who Dan was, and the friend said he was his girlfriend's ex-husband.

This revelation surprised the OP as his girlfriend had never mentioned that she was married in their entire relationship. Later in the car, the OP confronted his girlfriend about this issue.

But his girlfriend casually dismissed it, saying it simply never came up in conversation. However, the OP remembered instances where similar topics were discussed, such as past relationships and views on marriage, yet the girlfriend never brought up her ex-husband.
