Depending on your personality type, you probably have a lot of different reasons for enjoying different kinds of movies. In this way, you are certainly not alone.

We all have different preferences, things we enjoy, and things we dislike, but different kinds of movies (and TV shows) are intended to solicit different feelings in us. For example, thrillers and horror movies give us feelings of anticipation, anxiety, and excitement as they often solicit both physical and mental stimulation for us.
