What is the best part about being on social media? Yeah, that's right, it is the pictures of people's pets!
fWhen you open a social media platform on your phone, whether it be Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, what is the one thing that you really want to see? Is it poorly researched articles and conspiracy theories that actually just propaganda masquerading as news that does nothing but incites fear and hatred shared by people you went to high school with you forgot to unfriend?
Is it endless streams of baby photos from people you think you met once in a bar but can’t really remember? Do you enjoy the ramblings and updates from people you sat next to once in college but the friendship never developed past sharing notes or asking for help on the homework?
I mean, do you really care about every single thing that is shared with your feed? If you do, I have no choice to congratulate you for curating a perfect feed and beating the algorithms that try to add a sponsored product in between every post to take your time and money.
Or, are you like the rest of us, and try as you might you end up seeing a bunch of stuff you have limited interest in, but, in between, there are glimpses of joy in pictures of cats and dogs!
Is this cat the new grumpy cat?
Nothing gets you out of bed faster than hearing your cat do something that it shouldn't be.
Just look at that little tummy! I just want to go through the pain of having a few seconds of joy in rubbing and patting its soft, squishy belly and then it will bite and scratch me but I won't care because it will all be worth it.
Apparently, corgi butts are filled with 80% air, which makes them naturally float! The rest of their cute bodies are more solid, though, which is why it is only their butts that rise to the surface.
Why does this cat look better in low-rise pants than I ever have?
What is that quote about not throwing stones in glass houses? Make sure your own animal is perfectly well behaved before being rude to others (unless the other one is really bad!).
So, what do you think? Wasn’t this post the break from all the horror that you needed?
There is nothing like the positive brain chemicals that we get from seeing some cute and funny animals so you should definitely carve out the time to check out some funny animal tweets more often.
Hopefully, these tweets have reminded you about why we spend so many hours scrolling through social media because there are definitely some good types of content mixed in amongst all the rubbish, and the prime source of that beautiful content? Animals.
