Pittie Pup Loves Playing With A Trash Can Despite Having Tons Of Toys Since He Has Been Adopted By His New Family

The owner of two cute dogs named Lilo and Stitch, Stacey Zitto, was attending a festival with them when the trio spotted a stall for the York County SPCA. She was not planning to adopt another dog, although her family has discussed doing so occasionally.

Her heart changed when she saw a pittie mix at that stall. “I reached to pet him, and he flipped on his back for belly rubs,” Zitto Shared. “I played with him a bit and then walked around the festival."

"I encountered him and his volunteer several more times and loved him more each time. I also watched how he interacted with other people and I was impressed!"

When she was about to leave for home, her heart was set on adopting the pittie.

She had made up her mind to adopt him as her third dog. “I eventually decided that I wanted him and texted that I was going to fill out an application,” Zitto explained.

“My husband’s response was simply ‘OMG!’ which I took to mean, ‘By all means, let’s adopt a third dog!’”

They named him Bidoof. When he came to their home, he didn't take much time to settle.

Bidoof's family was excited to have him and his new siblings were giving him enough room for his antics. His family soon realized that Bidoof loves toys so they brought him as many as they could.

What they didn't realize is that he may not be such a fan of conventional toys.

A few days into his adoption, he was playing outside on the patio and he spotted a trash can.

It was love at first sight for Bidoof and the trash can and they have been inseparable since. This trash can remains his favorite toy irrespective of the tons of toys that his family has bought for him.

He never misses a chance to play with it. it is a sight to behold when he is running around with that trash can holding it with his mouth.

His family can't control their laughter whenever they see him playing with it. Seeing his joy, his family has since given up on getting him to like other toys.

“His second-favourite toy [is] a 1-gallon plastic water bottle, so the trash is a trend for him,” Zitto shared.

Bidoof loves playing catch with the trash can. He will throw it in the air and then run around to catch it.

It is the funniest thing ever to watch. When they were adopting him, his family had no idea of his antics but they totally adore him for it.

“He still plays with it daily and seems to particularly like to play with it after dinner and before bedtime,” Zitto told. “One day I’d like to feel the level of joy he feels playing with a trash can!”

Bidoof is a friendly and happy-go-lucky dog who has immediately adapted to his new home and family.
