His name is Baby Jesus.
Being a mother is an amazing thing. It's amazing in itself that the female body can grow and hold a baby over the course of nine long months and even more amazing the automatic bond that is formed between her and the baby after birth.
After birth, the mother feeds the baby using her body and then raises the baby into a toddler, child, and young adult until they leave the nest. Overall it's a miraculous thing, and everyone knows it!
However, one mother's job has been made a lot more difficult due to the fact that people are always staring at her baby.
Gifted to her by a friend for Christmas, Lisa signed the adoption papers for the fox on New Years Eve in 2015.
Lisa brings her fox everywhere and they are inseparable. As she told Metro news, "He was a Christmas miracle, a magical gift from a friend, the gift that keeps on giving. I took naturally to being his mum because he is just a little baby, and I look after him and care for him as if he is my own."
"There was no negativity or ridicule involved in the choice. I am Catholic and would not disrespect any religious belief. It’s simply because he was a Christmas baby and I wanted to celebrate that."
When it comes to the fact that Lisa is carrying around a taxidermy fox (preserved after death), we would expect that she may get a lot of backlash from people for it. To this, she says: "I’ve had more backlash for his name than I have had for the fact I am carrying a taxidermy baby fox around with me. It’s hard not to like him as he’s so super cute and very handsome, and I do take time to explain to people that all my animals are ethically sourced. Baby Jesus was roadkill and unfortunately died accidentally, but he’s been preserved instead of decomposing."
"I see taxidermy as art, preserving a beautiful animal, and I would never promote cruelty to animals in any way. At first people often just see 'a dead animal' but it is more than that. It’s an art form which has developed since the ancient Egyptians. People are a lot more conscious now about sourcing taxidermy animals ethically."
She wants to promote this by loving her taxidermy fox, Baby Jesus, even more. Lisa adores him so much, that she even has made him into memes!
"I really admire Princess Diana, The Beatles and Beyoncé, and love to emulate them. Mr Blobby and Big Bird are my more fun choices and then we have people like Gemma Collins who I love in a different way."
"I went on a first date to a mouse taxidermy class...we both taxidermied our own mice and made them tiny little costumes. Mine was playing a piano in a top hat and Michael’s - my now boyfriend’s - was riding a penny-farthing bicycle with a pair of blue wings...Christmas he presented me with Ainsley, so it's becoming a tradition."
And we can't wait to see what's in store for them. To learn more about Lisa and Baby Jesus, see her Instagram page below.
