We all know that friendship has no limits, but our furry friends prove it best. When it comes to boundaries, friendship, and loyalty, we may learn something from them because it's their thing.
When they develop a connection with someone, it's a relationship for life. They don't change their mind on not such perfect days, and they are always there being supportive.
This story is about great animal friendship. But it took the entire friendship to the next level due to a bond between different species of animals.
A few years ago, while Peggy was enjoying walking in the dog park with her parents Mortensen Reece and Juliette Wells, she ren into her future best friend- a little magpie. At that time, the magpie was wounded and a couple of weeks old baby.
Peggy's parents wanted to help her, so they took her to their home and started to cure her. The original plan was just to help her recover, and after that, they would let her return to her friends.
But when the time came for a magpie called Molly to leave her rescuers and return among her species, she refused. It turned out that during the period they cured her, Molly got very attached to Peggy.
So instead of a simple healing mission, they got a new pet, and Peggy got her best friend. At first, Peggy was a little afraid of Molly, but the period they spent together made them inseparable friends.
Meet Molly and Peggy. The magpie and the Staffordshire bull terrier.
peggyandmollyTheir friendship is surely among the strangest ones, but it's adorable.
peggyandmolly"This photo just says it all . Soo content in each other’s company & molly wanting to be part of the puppy pile."
peggyandmolly“The two would lay near each other, not touching, but next to each other. Then they started snuggling together, and soon, they were inseparable,” said Juliette.
peggyandmollyPeggy really wanted to help the magpie get well, so she did something extraordinary:
“Peggy wanted to help keep this young bird alive and produced milk to help. It is very remarkable.
Peggy’s vets confirmed it,” said Juliette.
peggyandmollyThey always keep doors and windows open so Molly can leave whenever she wants, but she simply doesn't want to go.
“I do believe Molly thinks we’re her family. She has many bird friends but sometimes prefers to just hang around Peggy.
“We always leave all the doors and windows open and have tried to get her to fly back into nature but she has no interest in leaving us….I’m so sure that Molly thinks Peggy is her mum, and Peggy thinks she is her daughter,” said Juliette.
Peggy got five lovely puppies recently, and their parents thought now that Peggy is a mom, her friendship with Molly could change. But it remained at least the same, and Molly likes to play with newborn puppies.
“The thing that makes me so happy about this relationship is that they chose us. I feel grateful every day to witness their relationship changing and becoming stronger, no matter what happens.
It’s true love and unity, regardless of their differences.” said Juliette.
