We’re sure this fan never expected such a response from one of his biggest heroes.

Hollywood celebrities are famous for a reason; pure talent and mastery of their art. And with this talent on display come millions of fans that adore and consistently consume their work.
In many cases, these fans build an image of these celebrities that’s different from who they are in reality or who they perceive themselves to be.
Fans judge them on their professional work and even based on the opinion of the general public. In the eyes of the crowd, a lot of these celebrities are seen as perfect and incapable of making mistakes.
But things are changing, though. With the advent of social media, we’re getting more than just red carpet interviews.
Now, we get tidbits of celebrities in their actual unfiltered states through some personal videos they share or the occasional comment to fans. And however few and far between these tidbits are, they are very telling.
While some comments in response to fans are nice, we’ve had cases where the celebrity doesn’t respond in the best way, even though the fan may not mean any harm by their comment.
Comic artist Adam Ellis had a taste of this with Horror Director Jordan Peele. Adam tweeted that he thought Peele was the greatest Horror Director of all time.
But for some reason, that didn’t go down well with the Key And Peele star. In fact, it made us better understand the saying, “Never meet your heroes."

Hot take
Adam Ellis gave Jordan Peele the title of "Greatest Horror Director Of All Time", referencing three movies: Get Out (2017), Us (2019), and Nope (2022).
The Comic Artist wouldn't budge
There’s nothing you can tell Ellis. His opinion stands.
@adamtotscomixJordan Peele hit back at Ellis, and it was hilarious!
We bet Ellis didn’t see this reaction coming.
@JordanPeeleApparently Peele believes John Carpenter is better suited for the crown
“Thanks but no thanks.”
It didn't take long before Twitter folks started coming for Ellis due to his "hot take"
It seems John Carpenter has a tonne of fans.
More John Carpenter movie references
The comment section wasn’t having Ellis’ take on these movies at all. You gotta give it to him tho, he was fighting back pretty hard.
Peele unintentionally set Ellis up for a barrage of mean jokes.
Twitter folks don't take prisoners.
"Coming in to dunk on a simp is an all-timer move"
Yikes. That one hurt
Sarcasm at its finest
All in good fun
Peele didn't let his press tour get in the way. Man had to take a few minutes off to deliver a K.O.
Twitter is truly a hilarious jungle. You pick up your phone and innocently tweet a "hot take," only to get mobbed. Lol.
There's no denying that Jordan Peele is an amazing Horror Director, but if a Twitter poll was created today, you can tell he wouldn't emerge as the "Greatest Horror Director Of All Time."
Even Peele himself couldn't believe someone would place him on such a high pedestal. If the Key And Peele star doesn't think he deserves the crown, who are we to argue?
Some people would say Peele's response was a little harsh, but what the heck, it's all part of the fun.
What do you think about Peele's response? And do you think he is indeed the "Greatest Horror Director Of All Time?"
