10+ Of Our Favorite On-Screen Couples That We Wish Would Reunite Once Again For Another Movie

Sometimes, for a movie to truly touch the hearts of the viewers, actors must have insurmountable chemistry that reeks right off the screens they are watching from. A good pairing off-screen is essential for their characters to build something pivotal and significant on-screen—and in a way, that's a key factor that truly drives a movie or a TV show to success.

Contrastingly, there are also a lot of shows and movies with pairings that have... well, little to no chemistry. Take the characters Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley, for instance, played by Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright—their scenes in the last two movies are so physically painful to watch and are embarrassingly different from their chemistry in the books!

In some cases, it's the writings that are at fault, but oftentimes, it just all boils down to how much chemistry is budding between two actors. Because no matter how bad the script is, if two actors just have the "it" factor, they have the biggest potential to carry the movie from start to end.

There have been a lot of on-screen couples throughout the years that were so good and so fulfilling to watch, that fans just wish they could've hit it off in real life, too (although we did get plenty of on-screen couples that made it off-screen, but that's another story). Sometimes when nostalgia hits, a thought comes up that we would like to see them once again for another project in the future—but even though that seems highly unlikely now, one can still dream!

Take a look at some of our favorite on-screen couples that we wish would just reunite once again because we can't get enough:

1. Chris Colfer & Darren Criss

To this date, the chemistry between Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson in Glee still goes unmatched. It's quite easy to love the couple, though, because they were played by Darren Criss and Chris Colfer—and their chemistry is to die for!

Not only that, their duets were amazing. It's a shame that Blaine had a cheating storyline along the way because it was so out of character for him.

We still want to see the duo together and have them recreate their on-screen hocus pocus in another musical!

2. Mark Ruffalo & Jennifer Garner

Jenna and Matty from the film 13 Going on 30 are still one of the most iconic couples from the 2000s movies. Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo just had the greatest chemistry that was perfect for their relationship in the film, leading us to beg for a sequel since then.

There's no sequel in the works, though, but fortunately, Jennifer and Mark worked together on The Adam Project, playing Ryan Gosling's parents.

3. John Krasinski & Jenna Fischer

The friendship between Jim and Pam, played by John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer, was something special and it truly showed. It was sweet watching their relationship grow throughout the seasons of The Office.

4. Jennifer Lawrence & Liam Hemsworth

You're not the only one who was disappointed that Katniss ended up with Peeta in the Hunger Games. Sorry, Josh Hutcherson, but Jennifer Lawrence's chemistry with Liam Hemsworth as Katniss and Gale was just unmatched.

5. Sandra Oh & Kevin McKidd

There may be Meredith and McDreamy, and Izzy and Denny, but one of the best couples in Grey's Anatomy is definitely Owen and Cristina. Kevin McKidd and Sandra Oh's on-screen chemistry just toppled all the other couples over.

We'd love to see their work again together someday...

6. Henry Golding & Constance Wu

Rachel and Nick, portrayed by Henry Golding and Constance Wu, brought so much chemistry on the set of the Crazy Rich Asians. We can't wait to see them on the big screens once again!

7. Johnny Depp & Amy Locane

Cry-Baby may have been a controversial film, but it was definitely carried by Johnny Depp and Amy Locane's chemistry. There's something so magnetic about the forbidden love trope that makes a film all the more entertaining, regardless of some issues.

8. Ryan Gosling & Rachel McAdams

Everyone got obsessed with Noah and Allie from The Notebook in 2004 (and up until today!). But let's be honest, if it weren't for Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams capturing the hearts of many, it wouldn't have been as iconic as it is.

The two actually did date for two years after the release of the movie, so it all goes down to say that their on-screen chemistry actually did develop off-screen, after all.

9. Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone

Of course, Ryan Gosling is just that kind of actor. When he played Sebastian in La La Land along with Emma Stone's Mia, fans were left swooning again with their romantic relationship.

We'd love to see them together again soon!

10. Tom Hanks & Robin Wright

Tom Hanks and Robin Wright are legends in acting, and they have proven it in Forrest Gump as Forrest and Jenny. They were absolutely delightful to watch!

11. Omar Epps & Sanaa Lathan

Love & Basketball's Quincy and Monica, played by Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan's Quincy and Monica in Love & Basketball were such an epic couple. Their relationship felt so real and genuine and it showed!

12. Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga

An unexpected pair turned out to be one of the best on-screen couples who had overflowing chemistry: Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are Jack and Ally in the A Star is Born remake. They definitely make a sexy and gorgeous couple, and we feel like the remake shouldn't just be their only project because they have a lot of potential right there!

13. Amandla Stenberg & Nick Robinson

Maddy and Olly of Everything, Everything, played by Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson, are just the definition of romance. Their relationship is so sweet, pure, innocent, and intense all at the same time.

14. Dev Patel & Freida Pinto

Even though it was Slumdog Millionaire that brought Bollywood to the Western film culture, Dev Patel and Freida Pinto's chemistry was undeniably the big factor that made the film a success. Their relationship was so convincing, we're having a hard time processing that it's just for a movie!

15. Bryan Cranston & Jane Kaczmarek

Hal and Lois from the series Malcolm in the Middle, played by Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek have cemented our standards in love when we were kids. Their unconditional love for each other, and how they show it is definitely a dream of every hopeless romantic out there.

Selling a movie with leads that have no chemistry is difficult, no matter how hard they try to market it to the mainstream media. It's not only just couples—friends, and even enemies, also play a big part in the movie's success if the actors have oozing appeal and chemistry when they are with each other!
