Redditor Gets Slammed For Reminding This Parent That Pets Aren't Allowed On Campus
It's safe to say that almost everyone on this planet loves dogs, and there are countless reasons why we do. I know that every dog owner's wish is to bring them along everywhere, but that's not possible since it's important to remember that there are places where pets don't belong.

Many students have ended up leaving their pets back home when they move out because universities usually don't allow students to live with pets. It's heartbreaking for some people, but rules are rules, and they have to be followed, especially in institutions like universities where breaking the rules can lead to being expelled.
This Reddit user, who works as a hall director at a university, decided to share their story on Reddit after they tried doing the right thing and warning a parent about their policy regarding pets. This was a decision that they ended up regretting because the parent didn't take this information well, and OP was asked to leave them alone.
OP lives in the same building as the students, and one day, during family weekend, they decided to go for a walk with his dog since employees are allowed to have pets on campus. While walking, they overheard a student talking with his parent, and they told the student that they could bring their dog to campus since OP had one.
To avoid any issues in the future, OP walked up to them and told them that the student couldn't have a pet on campus. The parent found this hypocritical since OP was allowed to have a dog and students weren't allowed to, so OP responded by letting the parent know that a student seen with a pet would get 24 hours to remove it from campus or they would call animal control.
The parent told OP to leave them alone, so OP decided to share this story on Reddit in an attempt to figure out who was in the wrong. Make sure you scroll down and read the full story along with the comments left by other Redditors.
