There are a number of persons who have no enemies; people who are generally admired for their charisma and social grace.
You can have a number of admirable attributes that make people like and adore you. As difficult as it is to be in everyone's good book, some people still find a way to win hearts with their personalities.
Famous and well-known people are subjected to greater scrutiny when it comes to proper behavior. This is because they are frequently required to demonstrate how good and polite they are when not in front of the camera, how they treat others, and how compliant they are with the rules.
A Reddit user named u/bpm918 was curious to learn more about people that fit the true description of an admirable person. Thus, he asked internet users to name who they feel is the most universally adored person.
The topic, which had gained more than 4000 upvotes, was quickly flooded with various responses. What was particularly fascinating to note was that the names mentioned the most were actor Keanu Reeves, stage and screen icon Betty White, as well as singer and actress Dolly Parton.
Several other notable figures made it to the list, with people dropping short sentences of admiration to further solidify the inclusion of such individuals. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, as some users were vocal about why some figures aren't fit to be on the list.
We've taken time to compile a list of the top 30 most loved individuals according to internet users. Scroll through our gallery to see who made the cut.
Betty White, thank you for being a friend (to everyone).
Extraordinary soul. Bright light of goodness. May he rest in peace.
I would say Keanu Reeves, but he’s so awesome, he goes beyond being the most universally liked.
Giving free books to millions of kids and using a part of your fortune to open an amusement park with the sole purpose of giving people jobs will do that.
That one Russian commander who decided not to nuke America, which would’ve led to probably the entire world getting destroyed. Anybody who knows of him should like him
Hero of our times. Has probably done more in his lifetime to make people aware of nature than anyone else ever.
He is now a happy little tree
I challenge anyone to find a single negative thing that guy ever had anything remotely to do with.
As a superhero, I think he garnered worldwide attention. Whatever country you came from, Black Panther was able to reach millions of viewers who became fans.
Yep, I’ve lived in two foreign countries, where people would b**ch about American movies and all things American ad nauseam, until Hanks showed up. “ooh, Tom Hanks”, the universal remark.
Yes, you reading this. You're amazing!
He should be higher up the list. He's a total darling.
I bet Mr. Bean plays well all over the world. Hundreds of millions of people could love that dude and never even hear him say a peep. Eliminates a lot of potential controversy.
Unpopular opinion: as someone who worked in the wildlife business in Africa, all I can say is that while his enthusiasm for animals was unmatched, he was repeatedly reckless in the way he approached and handled animals. While his death was tragic, it could easily have been avoided if he had kept the practice of treating wild animals with respect, and not crowding them, baiting them and interfering with them.
Another one of those guys that nobody has ever said a bad thing about.
Our national treasure...
He saved 1200 Jews by employing them in his ammunition and arms factory as he saw in the concentration camps even though he was a part of the Nazi party very interesting
My very first “girl crush” when she played Maria in Sound of Music! She was beautiful and she sang like an angel. My favorite with her is Victor/Victoria.
I can only ever think of him as Aragorn, son of Arathorn, the first High King of Gondor.
She had a heck of a lot of haters when she was still alive, for "ruining the royal reputation", being "promiscuous" and opinionated. Royalists were scandalized by her actions, saw her as the sole villain in a disastrous marriage, and had no empathy for her. After she passed away
people mostly started to drop the vitriol and dramatic changes to the culture around the treatment of women have put a more empathetic light on her memory.
Not sure how this isn't a top vote. Even for people that don't like his movies or acting in particular, I'd say they're generally aware of all the charity and stuff he gives away to deserving people and has been completely scandal-free as far as I know. Beyond that, he is always smiling and speaks in a way that people enjoy listening to, both his voice and manner of communicating. Highly likable guy.
He's not popular with a lot of the right-wingers in the UK due to his stance on the migrant camps in Europe.
There have been reports of him being difficult on set so I'm not convinced he is universally liked.
The less you know about his personal life the more you'll like him.
I worked as an extra on a movie set, and the first thing we were told "Don't look at DW. Don't speak to DW. Don't make eye contact with DW" I was prepared to dislike him, but we were a gospel choir, led by our Aunt Peg. Well, DW ended up spending time with her and enjoying the gospel music. It was beyond awesome.
NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP, NEVER GONNA LET YOU DOWN, NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU. NEVER GONNA TELL A LIE, NEVER GONNA SAAAY GOODBYE, NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU.
It depends on the mom or grandma!
He's a vocal opponent of homosexuality. No votes from me.
Really? I remember the time he brought 2 women to an awards show, both of them on dog leashes. This is a big no for me, sorry.
Conservatives love him because he is conservative. Liberals love him because he's a great actor who is not offensively conservative.
Sometimes being a person of admirable character comes naturally, in the sense that others are always drawn to you wherever you go. In other cases, people learn to build their social skills to be able to blend in and win hearts wherever they go.
Whatever the case may be, it definitely pays to be in everyone's good books, especially when so many eyes are watching.
Is there anyone you believe is the world's most adored individual but didn't make the list? Or is there anyone on the list that you feel shouldn't be there?
