Woman's Creepy Lyft Driver From 3 Weeks Ago Suddenly Drops By Her Workplace And She Urges Ladies Everywhere To Be Careful
Years ago if you would tell people that they could get into a stranger's car, give them your name, and have them drive you from work to your house, that raises all kinds of red flags. Now, they're just called ride shares.

So there are taxis, which have been around for a long time but rideshares are run differently. Since the only thing, you get when something happens is the driver's name and their plate number, plus the hope that the company gives them consequences.
They are not bonded to the company which might make other drivers bold enough to harass their passengers. And that problem is actually well known among women.
A Twitter user with the handle sighjunwa shared her horrifying experience with a Lyft driver who decided to pay her a visit at work. A driver was a complete stranger and took advantage of the information he got from booking in the app.
The driver casually asked the hosts of her workplace where she was using her name and they led him to her. The workplace doesn't have a policy that safeguards the safety of their employees wherein strangers couldn't ask for information about an employee.
It led to an uncomfortable and terrifying encounter. OP came online to warn other women and a lot of them shared their own stories and tips on how to keep safe.
OP's warning started with her sharing her story
He couldn't take a hint with the fake number
Now OP wouldn't be able to shake off the feeling that she's always beeing followed by that man
OP clarified that it was Lyft and not Uber
If you question why just saying 'no' is not always the best option
They would any excuse they can to cover up what they're doing
Workplaces should have a policy to protect their workers. You can't tell by looks alone who's dangerous and who's not
This is way too creepy
Another Twitter user shared their story about a dangerous driver
At first he made what she thought was an uncomfortable joke until he tried to point out that he was serious
He kept pushing whatever reason she tells him
Not taking the hint at all and anything she says, he askes her out again
Beyond scared now, she finds a way to contact her dad
And her guy friends so she could at least have them call her to pretend that she really has a boyfriend
That's the only time the driver let it go
These kinds of experiences create trauma within women
People started sharing safety tips
If the dangerous encounter is outside ride sharing situations, you can also use these
Protect yourself and don't give away your number
Always check this feature before getting in the car and the plate number
Some are suggesting that maybe it's time to take taxis again
If there's no policy in place in your workplace, remember this rule and protect each other
Women getting harassed and stalked in rideshares has been an unfortunately common occurrence. Women already feel unsafe walking alone and now they have to come up with smart ways to defend themselves when they're just trying to and from places.
It creates trauma and extends to their daily life. There should be actions against these but sometimes they shake it off in fear of dangerous people coming back for them.
