The world is fascinated with patterns of any kind—and what's both funny and amazing is that these patterns can sometimes take the form of people. With the billions of people scattered all over the world, it's not exactly a secret that you would be bound to see or meet someone that looks so much just like you.

It's normal to see two completely different people that look so much alike but it's still amazing to see how the resemblance is so strong, especially when these people come from completely different places as well. It's one thing to see a person that looks so much like someone you know, but it's also more amazing to see a person resembling a famous person we all know!

With the rampant rise of social media throughout the years, it has now become easy for people to meet or see their doppelgangers in real life, but now, a new trend has sprouted, giving birth to more opportunities for people to show off how much they look similar with a certain celebrity. It's a testimony that there are a lot of Emma Watson, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry lookalikes living among us here.

Looking like a famous person is one thing, but finding another person that looks just like the partner of your celebrity twin is just bizarre! A TikTok trend has made waves because of people finding their romantic lookalike counterparts by dueting or stitching their videos side by side.

1. For instance, take a look at this Corey and Topanga lookalikes from Boy Meets World!

TikTok user @curlydaddy101 kept getting tagged in @trinnittyy__'s video because people on TikTok think they're the perfect lookalike match for this couple!

2. No one beats Alexa Demie but here's a lookalike of hers as Maddy from Euphoria—complete with her own Nate Jacobs that also found her through this trend!

3. This is Sammy Robinson, who resembles Gigi Hadid. Her video got dueted by TikTok user @smurfgopoppop who looks decently enough like Zayn Malik.

This trend definitely is a gateway for interesting lookalike pairings to pop up, and we're not complaining! It's not quite clear who started the trend originally, but what happens is people who look just like a TV or movie character, a celebrity, or even cartoon characters, make a video lip syncing to "Sofia" by Clairo in front of a photo of their lookalike—and the said lookalike's partner or love interest.

That being said, a lot of users got lucky when a lookalike love interest dueted their vid!
