British actor Daniel Craig has played 007 in James Bond films for fifteen years, but when No Time To Die was about to be released in 2021, he intended to bid farewell to the famous role. We lovers of the film series initially thought he wasn’t the perfect fit for the role, based solely on his appearance, but he quickly managed to win us over, and his name is now comparable with that of the pioneer of the character, Sean Connery, who created the concept in 1962.

We do not believe the movie will end anytime soon. This obviously means that the search for a new Bond to replace Daniel Craig is on the cards.

Actors abound who we are sure will indeed love to play 007, but the standard has been set very high indeed. Yes, the Bond films are action movies, but historically, only the best actors have been cast in them.

From Sean Connery to Dame Judy Dench, the casts of these films never fail to impress. And I don’t think they’ll let us down anytime soon.

He had the good looks, lush accent, and skills. And he's arguably one of the potential replacements for Daniel Craig since he would not be acting as James Bond any longer.

The Man of Steel obviously has the looks to act as James Bond plus his British accent too. Over the years, he has proven himself in action and we believe he would fit right for the role.

3. Andrew Lincoln

He has the lead role on AMC's drama The Walking Dead, and even if the James Bond role would be quite a bit different for him, Andrew Lincoln has proven to be a versatile actor.

4. Benedict Cumberbatch

He might not be the typical Bond, but his acting skill is incredible as he nailed the Doctor Strange role. He will bring more sensitivity and less hard-edged vibe to the role.

5. Tom Hiddleston

He would be an interesting pick for the lengendery MI-6 agent role. The Golden Globe winner has his way around an action film and even spy movies.

6. James McAvoy

The British actor acts seriously creepy and messed-up characters sometimes, but he's totally cute and he can act. He has what it takes to take on the Bond role.

7. Michael Fassbender

He looks the and has a very suave and debonair look to take on a serious role like Bond with ease. He's not British so he has to work on the accent though.

8. Charlie Hunnam

The English heartthrob hasn't nabbed an iconic role since Sons of Anarchy ended in 2014, and the role in the Bond movies will take his career to the next level.

9. Jude Law

He's also one of the people being talked about as having a possibility to act as James Bond for a long time now. He is an excellent actor but since it hasn't happened for years, we're not so convinced he's interested.

10. Tom Hardy

He is quirky and often takes on quirky roles but James Bond could be a little departure for him, and we believe he will handle it with lots of swag. Tom's naturally cute, but still tough and sort of hardcore.

11. Richard Madden

The Scottish actor looks somewhat like he should play James Bond - he's young and can bring a bit of youthfulness to the franchise's next iteration. This will allow him truly make a role his own and he proved this in the Brit miniseries, Bodyguard.

12. Dev Patel

The English actor will definitely shake up the franchise as he would change the 007's look. He's racked up some career accolades with his acting skills, including Oscar, Golden Globe, and SAG award nominations.

13. Aaron Taylor-Johnson

The English actor is well-known for his character in superhero flicks. He's young enough to act as Bond, as it would nail his permanent place in Hollywood.

14. Henry Golding

The Crazy Rich Asian's cast, Henry Golding acting as 007 won't have to look one particular way. Henry should be one of the non-white, non-British actors who can take on the Bond role with ease.

15. Sam Heughan

He really looks like a James Bond role contender as his roles in Outlander and SAS: Red Notice have obviously prepared him for something as iconic as the Bond character. It would cement the actor's career.

16. Nicholas Hoult

The English actor has starred in movies including Warm Bodies and Mad Max: Fury Road. He is a young actor and can take on the James Bond role. He has a huge potential, and the Bond role could boost up his career.

17. John Boyega

This English actor who is also a producer can actually star as James Bond, though he's still a bit young. In 2018, he said he would love to get the opportunity but the Star Wars alum should have numerous experiences in only a few years.

The production team for the next film has an enormous challenge ahead of them. However, we believe that if they do go with a proven celebrity, any of these 17 actors would be excellent as the dazzling, glamorous, and clever James Bond.
