Jaden Smith Just Got Parodied By His Dad Will Smith And Its Hysterical

It's the ultimate Dad Joke.

Not many children want to follow in their parent's footsteps. Even if they do want to, it's not always possible- especially if their parent is famous. In all honesty- it seems impossible. In order to stand out as their own success story, the child of a celebrity would have to meet the achievements of their parent- and then go even beyond that in order to stand out at all. It's tough, but sometimes it happens.

We all know Hollywood mega-star, Will Smith. The actor is known for his iconic roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Men In Black series and countless other meaningful moves. 

The man himself- Will Smith.

Despite having such fame, Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith, is successfully emerging as his own entity.

In 2017, Jaden started releasing teasers on his Instagram account, and then 5 singles. Then In November of 2017, Jaden released his debut album, Syre and it was received with flying colors. Containing 17 songs, some even featuring vocals from Jaden's sister Willow, the album reached #10 on the Billboard's US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list.

Jaden is successfully making it as a successful young rap artist- but he still knows and sticks to his roots. When asked by Complex if his music is influenced at all by his dad, Jaden explained:

"Definitely, definitely. Just his message, if you look at my dad’s music and then you look at music that’s being played now, it’s such a vast difference. I feel like people really lost that positive message and I really wanna bring that back. That positivity. It’s hard to have positivity in a world like this, but I’m trying to get it through in the music, somehow."

When Jaden's album reached 100 million Spotify streams, his father Will Smith had to congratulate him in the funniest way ever- by creating a parody of the music video for "Icon"- complete with a full-on dad outfit: socks, sandals, and shorts.

Being the funny person Will is- it's not unexpected- but it's hilarious.

We can only imagine Jaden's reaction when he saw the video that was his Dad's odd way of congratulating him.

Though it may seem like Will was trying to overshadow Jaden once again, he had his best interests at heart. The proof is in the pudding- WIll made himself look absolutely (and hilariously) ridiculous in the parody. At the very end, he says:

 "I'm proud of you, baby. One hundred million streams! Congratulations, man. A hundred million. Congrats! I love you."

Being part of the coolest family ever, we're sure Jaden and Will are on as good terms as ever.
