"I work for my money and the last thing I want to do with it is give it to the person who made my last year at school a misery."
Bullying is the repeated, intentional use of words or actions against a person or a group with the intent to hurt them physically, socially, or psychologically. Typically, they aim to weaken or dehumanize the target.
Bullying can occur anywhere, including at work, at home, online, via text message, or by email. Bullying can take many different forms, but it always leaves the victim feeling distressed and hurt.
Bullying kids sometimes like to get their own way. Infact, bullies are more likely to struggle with persistent problems like melancholy or issues with aggression but the bully in today's story got a very bad punishment.
Meet u/throwaway0711202212, the original poster of today's story. He shared how one of the popular kids back then in high school enjoyed bullying him so much.
The OP has never forgotten it and constantly resents him for it. Fifteen years later, the bully did something very stupid and immature, and as a result, he has been in a coma for several years while the OP is living in a major city abroad and earning a pretty significant sum.
For years, the parents and friends of this bully paid his medical bills to keep him on a ventilator, and eventually their money ran out. They sought the OP's help, and as you can already tell, he refused to help.
There are numerous reasons why children bully one another. Some bullies act out of insecurity.
Picking on someone who appears to be weaker emotionally or physically can also make you feel more significant, famous, or in charge. Other times, kids bully because they simply don't understand that it's wrong to tease other kids just because of their race, faith, size, or appearance.
Bullying occasionally forms a routine of aggressive or defiant behavior. These children probably need assistance in learning how to control their strong feelings such as hurt, anger, or frustration.
They might lack the abilities necessary to work well with others. Keep scrolling to read more comments.
Remember that bad behavior won't end on its own, as it can be frustrating to try and halt bullying among children. Consider the happiness and prosperity you want your children to experience in their relationships, careers, and academics.
Combating abuse now is a step in the right direction, and if Jake was a good friend to the OP, it just might have been a different story for him.
