We're back today with another Reddit post from the AITA thread that you all know we like to go over on here because of how entertaining they can be plus, we like to get other people's opinions. This thread is often where people go to see if they are in the wrong for what they are doing in a situation.

With this all being said, we are going to look into this post where a girl wants to know if she's in the wrong for leaving the house after telling her that she is grounded. OP feels that she's too old to be grounded, she's 18, and she wasn't grounded for a fair reason anyway.

We often see posts like this and already know how they are going to go, but in this case, the details make all the difference because it really lets us in on how her mother is and just allows us to get an idea of what kind od dynamic they are all in.

It's definitely agreed that the mom is outrageous for punishing her daughter for being responsible because many would've done it the opposite way.

It's a very odd situaiton because it seems that OP is given a lot of extra responsibilities that are not hers.

It's a terrible mindset that a lot of parents have nowadays and it really it something that needs to be addressed.

Obviously the mom was just in panic mode but that shows exactly why you don't take away their phone.

We also have to agree that her mom sounds toxic.

We do have to agree with most of the comments on here because it seems like her mom kind of has more issues than we know about. It's a really difficult situation being 18 and living in your parent's house where boundaries start to fade or mix.
