If you've ever had a baby, or known someone who has, you may have partaken in a 'gender reveal'. Typically, this entails cutting into a pink or blue icing filled cake, popping a balloon with pink or blue glitter or shooting a pink or blue confetti canon in the back yard.

Simple. Very, very simple.

Nowadays, however, it is not uncommon for gender reveals to entail a LOT more detail. Fireworks, burnouts, helicopters, those light-airplanes that drag a banner... none of these are uncommonly seen on social media when influencers and even regular people, are announcing the gender of their unborn baby.
