As a woman, I personally cannot fathom anything that angers me more than the victim-blaming of sexual assault survivors. It is disgusting, de-humanising and degrading.
Not only does is disenfranchise women, it also doesn't paint a particularly nice picture of men, either. It makes men out to be animals, fuelled purely by sexual desire who're unable to control themselves upon seeing a tiny but of the skin of a woman - and this isn't the case for most men!
Recently, Josh Weed, a very openly gay man, discussed his issues with 'modesty' culture in a series of tweets. He explained that he is not attracted to women, but is to men, and he has never at any point blamed a man for sexually arousing him in a locker room or in a pair of lose fitting basketball shorts.
He then spun it around saying that women shouldn't be blamed for men's arousal (or inability to control it)
