When you parent dogs and cats life brings many surprises your way every day. There's not a day that goes by that doesn't freak or surprise us.

When our dogs bring sticks, we're happy, but then when they start bringing huge trunks, it freaks us out. On the same note, when cats bring us maple leaves we're happy, but the moment dead rats and pigeons come into the picture suddenly things change.

Either way, ask any pet parent if they'd prefer living any other way and you'll hear them refuse. The thought of living a life without their pets is unimaginable.

When we bring our pets home, we welcome them into our homes, lives, and families. There are no excuses for abandonment, mistreatment, or abuse.
