Photography is such an amazing thing because you can tell a whole story just from one image and we can tell how far some photographers go to capture the perfect image. That's exactly what we will be looking at today when we look into the photographs taken by this photographer.

I think a lot of us forget how common madhouses were and the types of things that went on within the walls of a madhouse. Unfortunately, some wild things happened and a lot of these places are still standing to this day with furniture, stories, stains, and more that tell the stories of who lived there.
When it comes to looking at these images you may find them disturbing as your mind wanders to imagine what could've gone on in there, but it's important to appreciate how far we've come in the sense that things like this aren't commonly happening anymore. Let's dive in and take a look at these stunning images.

26. I would be claustrophobic in this hallway.
27. Seeing nature overgrow these places is bittersweet.

These photos really give us a deep look into the life that some of these patients lived. It's quite sad to know what was common practice back then, but it makes us appreciate how far we have come.
